Dipstick?
Just converted to headers and now I must replace the dipstick as the stock one will not fit.
Looking at Lokar. However, their website lists this info for the SBC:
If the dipstick is on the passenger side down near the oil pan, you have a 1980 & later dipstick. If the dipstick is on the driver’s side and directly under the cylinder head, you have a 1979 & earlier dipstick. However, a new crate motor may accept both applications depending where you desire the engine dipstick.
Now my dipstick is on the driver's side, down near the oil pan (not directly under the cylinder head)...and my motor is from '74.
