Line Lock Solenoid Positioning
Does a line lock solenoid HAVE to be positioned upright? Can it be horizontal without any ill effects? The inlet is on the top and the outlet is on the bottom when it is in the upright position. (B&M)

I mounted mine directly below the master cylinder. Remember it uses Pipe threads so you need adapters and teflon tape to seal the threads.
Do not try screwing brakes lines in directly to the line lock.
I can't imagine it cares how you mount it. It has 2 outlets for the front brakes and one inlet from the master cylinder. This is a good time to remove the proportioning/light switch from the system. Remove it and plumb the rear brakes directly to the rear and the front of the master to the line lock and twin outlets to the front brakes.
This will improve brakeing and safety.

Doesn't matter. However make sure you install it according to the NHRA rules.
The last I heard those rules specified that the line lock must be installed in the system AFTER the pressure diffeerential stitch and/or proportioning valve.
You might want to double-check.
