Crank Trigger
I have decided to install a crank trigger to ensure the timing is rock steady. I wanted to run a small nitrous shot and I will feel more comfortable knowing the timing will not change.
That leads me to my inquiry: Has anyone here installed a crank trigger on their setup? After researching the different brands I have decided to purchase the kit from Mallory because it includes an easy to use adjustment mechanism for setting the timing.
Summit has it on backorder until this coming Friday so I won't get it until the following week. I will install it and report back on the installation and track results if anyone here is interested.
Thanks,

Travis
EDIT: I would of posted the track results from the DragVette kit along with the different diameter exhaust systems if the owners of the track were not bickering and canceled the next two weeks planned events.
It will all have to wait till May 8th assuming they open the track at all.

Did your distributor was properly shimmed when you saw the irregularities in the timing? A properly set up distributor should give a steady timing every time.
A crank trigger is for sure more accurate.

I feel that crank triggers are the best way to go for someone that is comfortable running a locked ignition. I sent you a PM about a few issues you will run into when mounting one up on a street car. Nothing major, just time consuming.
