While cleaning my new 82 CE, I found a wiring harness disconnected under the storage area behind the passenger seat. The harness is on the left side if your looking from behind the car towards the front (corner closest to the transmissionn tunnel)...After plugging it in I do not see any difference in the cars performance.....and the alarm still does not work (Initially I thought this was why the alarm did not work).
The wiring harness is about 3 inches long (single row) and if I remember correctly had about 6 or 8 wires. There was a black connector bolted to the car body right beside two other little boxes with wires. I will try to get a picture

This is a close up, the picture is upside down, so the harness would plug into the top of the picture which is actually the bottom in the car

Thanks, I wanted to get some expert advice that was part of the factory alarm before I started diagnosing the alarm (only to find myself down some frustrating rat hole).
