vapor lock???
how does a car act when it vapor locks?, my car will sometimes after its warmed up will spuuter and jump like it is running out of gas when you floor it from a stand still and will usually die after it you let off the gas, I have tried a eldebrock carb and a holley which I have recently used on other vehicles with no problems, I do have the wrong fuel pump on the car right now, it only has a inlet and outlet but no return line fiiting like the stock one, I have the return to the tank just unhooked but not plugged, so I was going to put the stock type back on to see what happens, any help would be apprieciated,

sounds to me like you are right in thinking its a fuel delivery problem....and if you know you have the wrong fuel pump that would be a good thing to fix first before you knock your self out on other diagnosis....when i have had Vapor lock issues its when its really hot outside and the fuel is actually turning from a liquid to a gas and the car act likes it running out of gas...then when it cools down its ok....i didn't notice where you live but it would have to be really hot for this to happen. your fuel line is not resting on the exhaust my any chance is it....
