Default Cragar SS wheels with adapters.....

OK, on Monday I purchased a set of Cragar SS Chrome wheels (15x8) with 4.25" backspace...I will received them on Thursday from JEGS. To make sure the wheel clears the caliper, I also purchased a set of billet aluminum 1" wheel adapters ...not spacers but bolt on adapters with the same bolt pattern from VPS. I measured the backspace on the stock wheels= 4". Based on the info for the new wheels & adapter, I calculate a .75" increase in the placement of the tire from it's stock location (4.25" backspace less 1" adapter less the 4" stock location)....does this make any sense?? am I correct in the calculations? If so, will it rub the inside fender? or rub anything else? Any help or opinon will be greatly appreciated!

Geez, you're making it seem awfully complicated. I just put an aluminum spacer behind the wheel thick enough to clear the brake caliper. Works fine. Haven't had a bit of trouble.

you could always mount one wheel and move it around the car to see....what size are the tires? I can't imagine having a problem with 225s anything bigger though i'm not sure of.
