Door locks
I am fixing some body damage on my 1980. I had to replace the area where the door lock goes on the drivers side. This is damage from the previous owner. I need to know if I was to make a template of the passenger side if the lock would be in the same place on the drivers side. Kind of like the passenger side door is a mirror image on the drivers side door. If someone could measure their locks to see if they are eqaul distance from the door handle and the door edge i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
The panel has already been fixed and reinforced with metal I just need to put a hole in for the lock cylinder and notch it for the grooves in the cylinder. Also I am refering to the exterior door panel.
