Default Front Spoiler Installation

I'm looking for suggestions on how I might install an after market, one piece, Indy style, Air dam/spoiler on my 1979 Coupe. The challenge I'm having is trying to install it without any major modifications to the fenders or without the use of fiberglass bonding.

The spoiler comes pre-drilled to fit the delta shaped under carriage enclosure on the car but the two sides of the spoiler have two large flanges (wings) at either end that I assume are supposed to fasten to the inside flanges of the wheel wells. Problem here is there doesn't appear to be enough material on the inside of the wheel well flanges to drill into to properly mount the spoiler to the fenders.

I'm including a picture of the spoiler to give you a better idea of what spoiler I have.

Thanks again in advance.

I didn't have any problem installing the same spooler on my 78. You might have a vette that came with the optional 60 series tires. These vettes had their fender wells trimed at the factory. You also have to cut the original air dam under the radiator and reuse it for proper air flow.

Yes I have 60's on the front and the fender wells are only about 3/4 inches. When I bought the car there ws no dam or delta enclosure I installed that myself. I picked the spoiler up elsewhere for a song and had it painted separately from the car.

How did you fasten your spoiler to the Fender wells?

My Eckler's 1-pc spoiler had this nut and bolt set with a flat-sided washer to mount the 2 ends with.

My fender wells were wide enough to use the bolt kit that came with the spoiler. You can see a good picture of it in my photo's. Be aware that you have to watch out for speed bumps and high angle driveways. You can see my dings in the paint on the drivers side.
