I have a 1980 vett with glass tee tops. The bonding that hold the glass to the frame is coming loose. Is there a product to glue this back with or is this a professional only kind of thing?
Hi Bobby06
I have the same problem with my 79 t-tops. There have been acouple of posts on this, Only suggestions have been to take to a Glass repair facility, just havent had the time to do it. I've been using the "rain guard" from MId-America for the time being. Easier to carry in back instead of t-tops, and does an O.K. job against leaking, unless it's really coming down. Maybe somebody has some other suggestions.
3m has a weather stripping glue that is hard to beat, it holds rubber plastic ,etc. it cost about 15 bucks a tube but it may be worth it. comes in black and clear.used it on the new weather strips on the vette . it will not let go.
Mine arn't glass, but when you remove them you can hear things rattling around inside. Like a couple of loose screws?
How do you take them apart to find out what the rattle is?

Do you think I can just put some of this glue in the places where the tops are coming loose and press it together or is this glue some that you apply to both serfaces and let dry, then apply to one surface and press together?
