How much difference 73 frame to 75

The rear would be different because 75 has the energy absorbers on the bumper that nest inside the frame rails. There are also differences between automatic and manual transmission frames.

The energy absorbers can be unbolted and removed from the 75 frame, but the provisions for them on the frame make it different from the 73 frame. If you can weld, you could probably cut the rear part of the 73 frame off and adapt it to the 75 frame.

I replaced my 73 frame with a 77 the only real diffrence is the last 16 or so inches you can cut off the end of both frames and swap them. The actual length of both frames are the same. The manual frame cross member can be removed and an auto cross member can be in stalled not a big deal. I have photos of what i did if you would like to see email me. When you do your swap make sure the body is square to the frame of you will have another project in the future. Please shop hard for a frame i found mine on ebay for $167.50 and delivery cost about $250.00 but it was hard to find a carrier to bring it to be because it was not crated. Good luck John
