Need help quick!! TH200R4
Took the pan off and want to check out the governor. In this pic, what piece is the governor?
I assume that it's the piece on the bottom of the picture in the center but I just want to make sure!!

Oliver the governor isn't in the pan, It should be on the side of the trans under a round metal cap just above the pan. On a 700 it's in front of where the speed o cable goes in.

I know what it is. Look on the side of the trans for a round metal cap. Hold on and I'll find you a pic

Might be the thing on the right in the pic.. I looked at the entire bottom of the tranny and I don't see anything like that.. The speedo cable attaches just above the thing on the right side in the pic..

It might be the thing on the right side that's held in place with the 4 bolts...

I'll just go ahead and remove the thing on the right... Worst case scenario, I'll have to put it back

ok.. got the governor out and the spring did pop out indeed (like CPT suspected)
Now I wonder on which side the spring has to go?? It would fit in 2 ways...
