I was doing a long rolling start second gear burnout leaving a friends house. When I let off to continue my trip home - The motor was shaking and bucking and hardly running. So i made a U-turn and went back. I had to restart it several times because it would not keep running.
I use demon carbs which is a good thing because they have a sight glass for looking at the fuel bowl level. The front bowl was dry. No wonder it would not idle.
I put in the $ 3X as much higher flow stainless steel needle and seats just a couple of months ago during my new motor installation. We just pulled one out of my buddies Chevelle just so I could get home. I just had to tweek the level and it ran fine.
What have you guys found to be the best? I saw in Summit Racing that they have a titanium one. I thought I was buying better with Stainless steel, But I guess not.
I never understood the reason for different needle & seats. Obviuously there is a difference or they wouldn't make em and people wouldn't buy em. I've seen the viton-tipped, ss, and just plain. What's the diff...better seal....faster reaction??
