I used the rapid fire for a BBC and did not find any real gain in performance. I did think the idle was a bit smoother with the rapid fires. Are they worth the extra $$'s - that is a decision on how often you change plugs.
If your heads are the short reach tappered plug. Get Bosch Platinum +4 They really worked for me.

Bosch are excellent plugs. They have a very true heat range. I run either Bosch or A.C. and have had good luck. Bag Champions, the plugs have a very inconcistant heat range.

i was just with the master and recall hearing him say that he went somewhere that had a way to test spark plugs by checking them under variuos compressions to see which ones lost their spark the quickest...his observations were that the new platinum tipped plugs lost their spark consistently at lower pressures than the old tried and true champions an ac delco's...
