roller rocker question

I have seen several recent posts ripping the idea of using aluminum roller rockers on street engines. I'm a bit confused by the problems people have reported - the LT4 uses Crane 1.6 ratio aluminum rockers (and I believe Crane Gold rocker arms are the service replacement). If these things blow up so much, how could GM consider using them in a warrantied street engine?

Bad design I guess. The General takes a while to learn its lesson. The ls1's rocker arms have problems with spilling the needle bearings.

Batman , I have been running full aluminum rollers for years and have had no problems . Just buy a good name brand ,,,,,,,,,,,, all will be well !

I put over 80K miles on a set of Crane Gold self-aligning 1.6 RR's on a '94 LT1 engine with absolutely no issues. This design is almost identical to Crane's design for the '96 LT4 engine.
