Electical Problem " HELP "
Today was a beautiful day in Pennsylvania to go for a ride in my 78 Corvette. About an hour in to the ride I noticed my GEN light flashing intermittently,and when it flashed the amp gauge and the tachometer also went crazy. After a little while the GEN light stayed on permanently and the tachometer and amp gauge were both dead. When I got home I put a volt meter on the battery, it showed 12.7 volts,and with the engine running it was charging 14.3 volts.I then decided to try with headlights on, it still charged but the warning buzzer stayed on steady. Also the power windows won't work. One more thing, when I turn on the headlights the oil pressure gauge goes to zero. If anyone can help me with this problem I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Bob

I know this sounds like a simple answer, but that's because it is...
Check EVERY ground connection first. Start with the battery then go everywhere you can find a wire under a screw. 99.9% of the time that's the problem when seemingly-unrelated things all start going weird at once.
