Default OK, Am I Totally Screwed

I've done another stupid thing, I tried to wet sand the scratched out of my T-top. I used 1000 then 2000 grit paper. first I soaked the sand paper in water for 15 minutes. Then I sandes the top with 1000 and then 2000 paper. I kept the top wet while doing it with spraying soapy water on top. the top now has a REAL dull finish and it will NOT shine with the wax I put on. Am I screwed or is there some magic wax I can use? From now on I stick to mechanical ONLY. Thanks in advance.

Wet sanding leaves a dull finish and you need to buff it out.

there is also 2000 and 4000 grit paper....use those, after the 4000 grit paper, the finish will be a dull shine. The T-Tops, are they made of glass or some other material? You may need to buff them with a very very fine compound, 3M Perfect It III System has the compound. Don't use a buffer, but buff by hand.

Meguire's # 2 or # 3. Use a terry cloth towel or wash cloth. Squirt a little on and rub in with medium pressure until the liquid is gone. After that you will need some wax. Good luck!

use a medium grade of rubbing compound, 3M makes a good product, you can put this on by hand in a circular motion. It wont hurt the rest of the finish if you get it on it. Then use a good cleaner wax then a sealer wax. I would also suggest Maguires wax. good luck. This is a simple procedure
