Also does anyone know of a web site that I can look up some of this information. I'm in the market for a carb and want to get the original one. I also need to get plug wires and want to get the correct date code on those as well any help would be greatly apprciated. Thanks so much.

You would need more information to determine the correct carb. The block was used with 390, 400, and 435 hp cars in 69 and 390 hp in 70.

I happen to be at a friends house cleaning up the intake so I have those numbers. But I don't have the vin with me right now. Thanks so far for the info.
EDIT. When I was looking at the info to order wires, it was asking with radio or without radio. my car came with the standard radio and not the upgraded radio. Which wire set would I get? Again, I really appreciate all of the help. What source are you using to get all of the info(I would love to have that book or site).

There should be another set of numbers/letters on the engine pad on the front of the block, similar to T1205LO. this gives the build plant, assembly date and the application of the motor, 390, 400, 435HP, auto, manual trans.
If the motor was a warranty replacement it would have a CE code on the engine pad.
the spark plug wires for any radio application on a big block (67-69) are a shielded set. the non radio application is usually L88 or other radio deletes.
the correct date would be before the assembly date. There are repo sets easily available with correct dates.
The Corvette Black Book is a good place to start for your information. Can be bought for under $15 at most Corvette vendors including the Museum.
