Default LT1 conversion, Radiator hoses question

Alot of the conversion threads I have seen the folks use Cool Flex Hoses , THey are a tad pricey but what I am wondering is what alternatives are there for a similar style "universal" type hose and what lengths would I need for my 77 LT1? I am running an aftermarket Summit alum. radiator.

Hey these are pretty inexpensive compared to the others I have seen.

Any experiences out there with Mr Gasket's version of these?

I know this doesn't help with your question but..

With the reverse cooling of an LT1 do you just hook up the stock radiator backwards?

Any stainless hose is gonna outlast most of your other components.
That said, I wish it came in another color - greasy rust - to match the rest of my engine.

Get 'er dun.

Make sure you use a high pressure cap. The LT1's were known for overheating because the cap can't hold the extra pressure...

Not here at work, I didn't do the swap, I bought the car set up as is and I am now going through and fixing all the Bubba's one piece at a time. I have a friend helping me go through the 77 as he set up a 75 with an LT4 and 700R4 , Any specific shots you need let me know and I will take some pics.

My setup is an LT1 with a ZF6 out of a 92 using an ACCELL/DFI computer. The computer is going to be my biggest job because although I have the software for this particular computer it is by todays standards antiquated and tuning modern drivetrains is not one of my skills YET, and this thing is running like it is way out of tune. I was also considering selling off the ZF6 and going with either a T-56 or 2004R eventully but that is not for awhile.

OK , I may be talking out of my *** here so if I am wrong someone will correct me.

From what I am seeing everything is hooked up "normally" I believe that the reverse cooling is done at the Waterpump through the engine but the radiators are setup and flow the same as any other.
