I'm in the process of restoring (frame off) my car to NCRS specs. I just discovered that one of the strut rods is bent. Am I better off replacing it or repairing it? I don't have a preference as long as it matches the other one and meets NCRS specs.
I agree, bend it back and replace the bushings. But, make sure you identify and correct the underlying reason for the rod being bent in the first place. Bubba mechanics will often bend the strut rods when they cannot get enough camber change to align the rear. This is often due to worn strut rod bushings or worn side yokes in the differential.
Since you are doing a frame off, I assume you'll be restoring all these components, but I wanted to point it out just to be clear.
