Default 1978 L82 carb replacement?
What is the best carb to replace my stock one with for more power?

Remember a carb is a responsive device. In general if you have a 4 barrel carb, it's not the first thing to replace.

If you have a QJet and stock manifold, keep 'em. The L82 cam is also quite good.

You need to consider (1) exhaust and (2) cylinder heads first.

Nah. Buy what you want! Just remember that bigger is not always better, depending on the application...
