Default Engine bog on burnout

I juat put an edelbrock performer 500cfm carb on my car and now when i go to do a brunout(rev and dump clutch) it only spins for a second or less then the engine bogs down. A am asuming the sudden jerk is pushing all the fuel where it cant get to the engine. Any ideas on what i can do?

Also do you think a 500 is too small for vortec heads and 224 234 cam. When i did the swap i put on a holley 750 DP that i had but that thing was super rich

I completely disagree w/that statement about the Holley - but yes you should have gotten the 600CFM carb.

I'm running a setup similar to yours and am very happy with a holley 650dp and sometimes I use a demon 625 that is great as well.

Is it running rich ????? Maybe it has to be rejeted. It could be loading up on you. My Holly 750 DP ran rich also. Stock jets from the factory it had #80's in the secondaries I forget what the primaries were but I drop the secondaries down to 78 and the prim. down two sizes. I have alum Vortic heads. I think that 500 cfm carb. is to small also.
