1980 Choke Light On and Off
Hello all, I'm new to this forum and I hope I can tap into this vast and underpaid wealth of knowledge here.
I have an 1980 which has both the choke and 'battery' indicator lights cycling on for 10 secs and off for 15-20 seconds. They cycle on /off together.
Just a couple notes: Carb was rebuilt about 1 1/2 years ago, and I replaced battery cables and grounding block about 1 year ago. The lights only started cycling within the 6 months. About one trip out of six do the lights not cycle.
Could this be an indication the alternator is bad?
