Default Emergency Brake Cable Mount

Has anyone had to relocate the mount where the emergency brake cabel is welded by the rear tire. I bought a set of Weld rims and it wont go over the mount where the cable is. I read a article some time ago about moving this mount in order to run a drag tire. Could use some help.

Move the bracket from the outside to the top of the trailing arm.
Some welding required.

Trying to remove the existing bracket from the trailing arm will probably damage it.

I bought a new set of brackets. They only cost a few dollars. I believe I bought them from Volunteer Vette (forum sponsor).

I actually just did this last week. Here is a post I put up a while back asking the same info. Got some good responses and a link to an article ( I think it may be the one you are referring to) on corvettefaq.

Good luck
