Default Replaced computer Distributor w/Mallory

Ok another stupid question I have. I have an 81 that I took the computer Distributor and (carb) out of. I bought a Mallory.Question is it has a plug at the end with three wires connected to it. What are these for? It has the battery connection on the side which I pluged into. Computer is still hooked up in car. Do I leave the three wire connection unplugged and just run the battery connection to the side of the cap?? What are the three wires for??? Thanks Randy

The three wires will plug into a pigtail or to the isolation module (you buy it from Mallory to protect the unit) There is a green, a red and a brown if I remember correctly.... It's setup this way so you can remove the distributor without having to unwire everything... Dave...

Default Distributor

Thanks Dave. Yes it does have the three wires and plugs into the pigtale from the wire harness from where ever. Question is Im not running the computer so do I have to plug the wire harness from the car back into this connection on the new distributor? Or do I just plug the battery connection back to the post on the side of the dist. this is what Im starting to look like
