Hood alignment

I just got a set of four hood alignment bumpers anyone have tips or suggetions how you install them and do the alignment?
Looks like to originals which are no longer there were attached with rivets can screws be used?

Those rectangular black rubber bumpers were put on with glue at the points where the hood needed to align with fenders. Black 3M weatherstrip glue looks best. I think they went at 7" and 21" from the radiator. The front one was horizontal and the rear was vertical but check your assembly manual for the exact placement. If you don't need exact placement for NCRS judging use the other ncrs judgement and put them where they align the hood and fender the best.

You only need them at the points where the hood is lower than the fender line. Be prepared to move and/or shave them as needed to get a good hood/fender match.
