Code 24, VSS
I took my 81 out today and while driving the check engine light went on 2 times. It only stayed on for about 1 minute each time. I checked the codes when I got home. The only code is 24. The book says its VSS, Vehicle Speed Sensor. It says to check the park/neutral switch and to check the park/neutral relay. Does anyone know where I may find the P/N switch and relay on my 1981 with automatic tranny? Thanks in advance. Is the park/neutral sitch the switch that only lets the car start in park or neutral? If it is it must be working because the car will not start in anything but park or neutral. Thanks for any help.
