I have gear oil leaking out of the front yoke seal. I was wondering if this can be fixed with out removing the posi? There is no noise coming out of the posi and no other problems with it but it looks like it drips and ounce a day on the floor. Is there an easy solution or do I need to take it out and rebuild the darn thing?
I ended up dropping my diff since I could not break the pinion nut loose in the car. I did not enough room in there or enough leverage. Norval was able todo it in the car with a heavy duty air wrench. So...yes it is possible with the proper tools.
If you are still running a stock crush sleave, you will need to mark the nut and put it back exactly where it was. And...don't forget to seal the splines or you will be doing it again(ask me how I know this). The best person to get advise from on this is Gary... gtr1999
