Vacuum problems
Hi,this is my first thread here, so here goes, I recently got another vette (1970 coupe 350/300 w/auto and air) and I am having a problem with the right side H/L opening and closing and the w/s door will not operate (trys to) and the w/s wipers will not work when I have the door all the way open, I have started troubleshooting but there is a lot going on at one time I did replace the relay for the w/s wiper acuator and the rubber boot on that also (which helped a little) any thoughts? process of elimination maybe? Oh I do have new hoses ordered, Thanks

Jim, Welcome to the club......
If you do a search you will find links to sites that can provide you the necessary information to trouble shoot the problem.
I've had to replace all of my vacuum relays and I just ordered the actuator for the wiper cowl.

Check the travel of the wiper trip switch on the wiper door. When vacuum opens the wiper door, the door activates an electrical switch to turn on the wipers once the door is open far enough to allow the wipers to clear. If the switch appears to be making good contact and you still have no wipers, check the fuse.
