Every once in a while, my '82 vette will not start when it reaches full operating temp. I removed the air cleaner assembly and noticed that fuel was slowly dripping into the intake by the injectors insted of being sprayed into the intake. Varoious people have said that the fuel systems may be vapor locked and may need a new fuel pump. Has anyone had a similar problem? Any answers to my problem!

If the car was left idling in the heat in a parking lot it would eventually stall out. Without letting the motor cool, starting was out of the question. The diagnosis was the fuel was starting to vaporize before it got to the carb, and starving itself.
The solution was some insulation around the fuel lines underhood, and install an electric fuel pump.
