Default Stupid carb question.

I am replacing the Quadrajet on my 77. With the new setup, I need a 750. Now to the stupid question. The car is not here, so I can't look at it. Does it have a manual (vacuum) choke, or an electric choke?

It won't be electric unless someone converted it. It should have a tube coming from the intake manifold that conducts heat.

Well, it's not a manual choke anyways. Really you need to modify either way, either run a power wire or a cable, depending on how stock you want it to act.

That sounds more familiar. I better confirm this before I make any purchases.

It doesn't really matter unless you're replacing with stock. Go with an electric choke. It's a simple conversion.

10-4.. After doing a little research, what I was calling vacuum is a hot air choke, and that will not work with my intake manifold, anyway.

Thanks for the replies, gentlemen.
