Thanks for the info. If you search this site for Torker II you may find a thread (I think I started it) with responses from folks who have used the Torker II. Didn't seem to be a popular intake with poor street manners according to responses, but I wouldn't have to change my hood with one. It's pouring here on the coast. The ducks are pleased. I gotta get outside and off this forum - I'm getting addicted to it.

Default Torker II

I'm running a Torker II on a 383 SBC with a 1" spacer and drop base air cleaner and still have about 1" of clearance to the fibreglass on my '77 stock hood. I have no insulation under the hood. With 3.31 rear end, I can fry the tires from a 10mph rolling start until I shift into 2nd.

What else do you have done to the engine? What is the spacer for? I don't think I've ever really understood what it does. Have any dyno numbers?

Other option that seems to be fairly popular...holley street dominator...really cheap off ebay. Anyone else used this?

Im running the Holley Street Dominator too. I modified it to bolt onto a rec port head, did a bit of porting and added runner extensions into the plenum. I use a 1/2 inch spacer 950 Holley and only just get a modified 3" drop base aircleaner under a stock BB hood. The motor runs sweetly.
