Strange Rattles

Son has a 71 vert which has developed a "tinny" rattle between 10 and 25 mph. After that it goes away. Sound seems to come from directly behind the drivers seat. Entire rear suspension was recently done. Mechanic thought it was the e-brake spring(s) but could find nothing wrong. As a C4 type I am at a loss. Can anyone give me a clue so I can point him in a reasonable direction. Should mention he doesn't live here so we are doing all this via phone.

Could be in resonance with exhaust at about 1500 rpm....

I have a 70 and the rear window tray rattles a bit at low RPM's but it is not a tinny noise. There should be foam rubber bumpers which should stop the rattle.

Thanks guys. He describes it as "A rock inside a hub cap". I don't think anyone has looked at the exhaust possibility. Will pass that one on.
