Default 73 rear window install

Does anyone have experience installing a rear window? Mine has to be replaced.

The assembly instruction manual (AIM) will provide good illustrations, notes on installation, and the original part numbers involved.

.. of which the illustrations are worth-while.

The 73 rear window is held in with butyl rubber - same stuff used for
originally installing the windshield. It is ready available in coils from
reputable car parts stores. It is a sticky strip (usually 1/4 or 3/8 diameter)
that is placed in the frame - then the window is set in place. The
interior trim holds it up there. Well, at least that's the way my 75 was.
I believe the 73 to be the same.

Since it is out - perhaps consider a change over to an early style
removable rear window. There are a few things to buy - including
the window, latches and hardware - plus rear roof panels.
This is a very popular (and somewhat easy) modification.
