centriugal advance pins?

centriugal advance pins?
I was replacing the weights and springs in the distributor. As soon as I took off the rotor cover one of the spring pins with the spring took off. I can not find them even with a magnite throughout the whole engine. Got a new set of balancers and springs today but I can't find the anywhere to find the lost pin that was holding down the weight. I also cannot find a centrifugal advace with the pins included. Trying not to replace the whole distributor. any advise an to replacing just the missing pin? Thanks

It should be in the distributer somewhere. The cap should have contained any small parts that let go. I don't know about the pin that is missing. I don't know where you would get one. It is probably a press fit and the hole just got oblong and the pin came out.

Unless you can find the pin or a donor distributor to rob the parts from, I suspect you will end up having to replace the distributor.
