Default 82 a.c. problem

Ihave a 82 vette that the air conditioner blows warm air Ihave rcharged the system but it still blows warm air.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

to help you we need more info .r12or134 . what presure do you have on the low side ,or did you just add two cans ?is your compresser turning on and off ?

I would check the hot water valve first, it's the one on your air/heater box, the vacuum line is pretty close to the exhaust and may have fried

When you turn on the A/C do you physically see/hear the compressor clutch engaging? You can see the clutch on the front of the compressor - have someone turn the A/C on and off to see if it engages. If not, one possible plact to look is the control panel. Check the vacuum control lines to ensure it actually sends vacuum the right place when you put it the A/C mode. If that is OK then you'll have to work back from the compressor to see where the electrical signal is lost.

I sometimes had that troubble untill I found that the possitioning of the switch in the car is critical for the AC to go into work. Half a millimeter can do it.
