Default Fuel Related Problem?

I've noticed that under load my car will not rev past 5600 rpm...and I'm not sure what's going on. In neutral, I can rev up over 6000 very easily, so I think it might be a fuel supply problem.
Here are my engine specs:
355, 9.5:1 CR, 993 heads with 2.02, 1.6 valves, XE268H cam, 1.5 rockers, Weiand Action Plus intake, Q-Jet tuned by Lars, stock points dist (but also tuned by lars), stock fuel pump with 3/8" line. Stock exhaust manifolds with 2" exhaust into stock style mufflers.

If anybody has an idea as to why my car just stops (as in it really stops, I almost slam into the steering wheel, it won't turn any more rpm ), I'd be interested in hearing it.

How are your plugs and what are they gapped at?

It probably is a fuel delivery issue. You are not keeping the fuel bowl full. Look for a plugged pick-up or sock in the tank, a kinked fuel pump feed line, or weak fuel pump pressure. G/L

The car is running slightly rich, as I told lars that I would soon be upgrading to headers and 2.5" exhaust with better mufflers. I'm running R42T gapped at .035.
I'll pull a couple during lunch and get back with what they look like.
