Is anyone using an additional exhaust hanger between the trans mount and the muffler hanger? I'm thinking of adding one where the pipes come out from under the rear spring. Plenty of attachment points at the rear cross-member where the spare tire carrier used to be. I don't like the idea of having no support for over 6' of exhaust pipe.
Yes. The muffler shop that tweaked in my pipes added a hangar exactly where you are describing. A small steel plate was welded between the pipes to keep them in position also. I will take some pictures tomorrow and post them for you.

That would be helpful. I've been printing pics from the forum in anticipation of showing 'em to the muffler monkeys. I was also considering a "stiffener plate" between the tubes.
Here are the pics. The exhaust shop welded them to the crossmember and they are even. I know the pic doesn't look like it. The second pic is of the cross brace.
Not too clean in my opinion. I used some longer bolts and spacers in the differential housing cover to add 2 hangers at the strut rod bracket for my LT-1's undercar exhaust system. Look really hard, you can see the 2 allen head bolts and washers on the differential cover and barley make out the hose clamps I used instead of muffler clamps on my pipes.

Looks good. To be honest, I am not that concerned with the undercar appearance. The muffler shop took it upon them selves to do this and it works just fine.
I had custom true duals installed this morning, and they used the cross member and rear frame cross piece to hang them (the rear is right in front of the muffler a bit); they had to drill a couple holes;
but I'm very impressed with the fit and symetry of the setup.
