Default Spec clutches

Anyone here running a Spec clutch and what are your experiences? My son and I are finishing a project (ZZ motor, modified) that is going into a Fiero and we now have a CFll on the motor, but it looks like this might not be the best choice and are considering Spec Stage 3, or, more likely the stage 2+ hybrid. We will see about 450 crank hp.
Some love 'em and some hate 'em. I know we could expect some chatter at first from the stage 3, but most respondents report that this lessens with breakin. Also mixed reports on Spec after sale support, but you get that with anything.

I'm ordering a stage 3 for mine, will hold up to 680hp. Many F-body friends SWEAR by them.

Check out my post --> http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...329&forum_id=3

And contact Paul, he can get them and he's also a Forum supporting Vender.

Thanks for the response. I got a lot of informed feedback on the Spec setup. This forum is the best source of performance feedback there is.

I have a Spec stage 3 in my Z06 and love it. The clutch grabs like crazy and has insane grip. It gets driven every day and I have not had any problems with it yet. As far as my 71 I have a Hays street/strip and I am please with that as well. It has held up to my ZZ4 and is another great clutch.
