Nice work. I'm anxious to see the sway bar you're describing.

dave, one can never have enough vise grips I have even more, those are just the ordinary ones, not the welding clamps and such.

Shark attack, it'll probably take a couple of weeks or more for me to get at the sway bar stuff, still need to finish up the upper shock mounts and cross bar and for that I need to pull the engine again.

Marck are you going to run a rear bar. I keep toying with the idea of installing one.

Yes I probably am, something needs to control the roll in the back now that there's no spring to connect both sides.

Here's what I came up with for the front sway bar...this will work just fine (especially when I install a splined speedway bar w/ seperate arms)

thats nice but it looks heavy. What do you estimate you car is going to weigh when done. It might be more than you think.

what is heavy??? The car will probably weigh less than stock, a lot of heavy things have been replaced or removed. The front frame extension will also be replaced by a new one made from scratch, the stock thign is quite heavy. Those 2 mounting blocks for the sway bar weigh next to nothing. I don't have the heavy stock calipers, my upper control arms weigh a fraction of the stockers, same for the trailing arms, no inner fenders and misc. stuiff relating to rad shroud and fiberglass there.

You've added a lot of steel reinforcements in the car, so i'm just wondering.

Its my opinion that we need to get these cars under 3000 pounds to have any chance of making them competetive. Power alone will not get you fast lap times.

That steel weighs next to nothing, it takes a lot of steel to add a significant weight and it sure is less than all the stuff I'm leaving off the car. I probably won't be able to get it under 3000 pounds.

Sure it looks great.

I left alot of those heavyweight stuff out of my car and planning to go with those aluminum calipers from VBP.
You're making nice progress.

I think I will be planning to pay you a visit in about two weeks, because I need to get the rocker panels you got for me.

I'll give you a call soon. Good luck with the project.

Do you mean the aluminum calipers from Stainless Steel Brakes or is VB&P making aliminum calipers too now?
