Smokes when starting.....

Smokes when starting.....
Not everytime...but sometimes...whenever I start the car, after it sits a while, I notice a blue/white smoke come out the tailpipe...then it's gone. Not much of it just a quick "burst". What does that mean? I check the oil....about 1200-1500 miles to a quart (acceptable)...engine runs strong....gets about 15 mpg. Any info on this will be appreciated!
