'71 Electric Window Motor
Hello everyone,
I need help figuring out why my window motor runs up and not down on my '71 vette. I checked the power to the window motor wiring with a light tester and had power on both leads from the switch. I figured I had a bad motor and got a new one. It's the same as the old one, runs up but not down. I then stuck a wire from the upside lead from the switch a touched the leads on the motor (both at seperate times) and the motor ran both ways. I then stuck the wire from the downside lead and the motor didn't run either way. I'm stumped on why I had power on the switch both up and down but it will not run down. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks, Pat
