I happened to notice at the end of my drive yesterday, my electric fan was not on, with the engine running. It was about 80 deg outside and I was driving with the AC off. (I had been driving about 30 miles) Does anyone know about what temp/conditions this fan should turn on?
79 L-82
I assume the temp sense is monitored somehow, and at a certain temp (voltage) the fan is enabled by a switch.
Thanks,
Hef
That fan is an auxiliary fan, it will only come on at around 230-240 deg. The switch for it is in the right cylinder head. (assuming it is the factory set-up)

Oh ok then I will have to assume for now it works?
That seems kind of hot for having the aux fan motor turn on. I wonder why the temp switch was not set up for say 220?
