Need AC on my 76
So, I get my 76 and I know there is no AC on it when I buy it. However, being down here in Texas I really need AC to be able to drive 6 months out of the year.
The car did have AC on it at one time and the fan on the inside even works when I put it on vent (Nothing comes out of the grill but that is another issue). What I do have on the car is everything in the firewall, the dryer (to be replaced), and some of the hoses. I am going to need a new compressor, dryer, condinser, and hoses. I know the compressors that did come on the car are going to be older and much more expensive.
So here is my question... What do I need for the car so I can run newer AC on the car? According to Ecklers I need a newer set of brackets (Have to buy them anyway). Anyone every do a complete conversion to an R134a system and have a web site or parts list?
