What to use for sealant??

What to use for sealant??

I just got done painting the birdcage around the windshield & between the T-tops, and am now about ready to put everything back together. What should I use to seal around the chrome pieces so water doesn't get in & undo what I just did??

I'm hoping it's something I can grab locally from Napa or Schucks or Autozone, but I didn't notice anything obvious when I've been browsing before.

3M strip caulk is what I used, works great. Bought it at the local parts store, but was hard to find, had to call several before I found it.

Boat store has several kinds of caulk. Some is made to be removable and some is not.
Sikaflex is a brand name for one kind and 3m should have several flavours.
Whats nice is some comes in white rather than black.

They are all MESSY!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see what I can find! The boat store is a good idea, we've got a couple around here... Maybe RV places too...
