Just last week my console & tail lights went out on me. Oddly enough, there was some sparking coming from the console light dimmer and then they just went. Any ideas on what the problem could be? I've installed a new headlight switch and checked the fuse to no avail. Thanks in advance!
The dash lights and the tail-lamps are on the same fuse. Any bulb, socket or associated wiring can blow the fuse, by cut insulation or installation problem. Make sure all lamps are plugged in. Check the plug wiring at the light switch for frayed insulation. G/L
Sometimes a lail-light can short out internally...rare, but I have seen it myself...More likely chaffed insulationon a wire..Your type of problem can be a bugger to diagnose.....
