Default Throttle cable install help

How does the throttle cable attach to the rod on the accelerator pedal? I can feel up there with my fingers but can't see the actual connection and therefore can't see how it detaches and reattaches.

On my 69 there is a plastic piece that snaps into the hole at the top of the rod that the accelerator pedal attaches to. Once you get the plastic piece out there is a slot cut into the rod that the cable will pass through.

I went with the Lokar cable. This is how it connects.

Ultimately, you're going to have to see what you're doing. Show this pic to someone small and thin.

I used the lokar piece as well. Very nice, but you really should remove the horizontal mount on the end of the cable that you left on. Once you remove it the cable will have a little ball on it that is just like the factory inner cable and it will fit into the black plastic clip in the throttle pedal arm.
