Vapor lock?
Hi corvette fans. Cut to the chase here, ..76 corvette L82 auto. temp gets close to 200 on warmer days with ac on. I have two pull fans. When i stop for about a hour, come back and the car starts fine. five seconds into the idle, it starts to cut out but gains it composure and i dont have a problem anymore. it happens rarely but it does happen. could this be vapor lock? I recently replaced the carb with a rebuilt. It used to do this before. Anyone have similar symptoms and what was your fix if any...Thinking about wrapping the fuel line in the engine with some type of insulation to see if that works. or maybe add a electric fuel pump in series with mechanical.. What you guys and gals thing? ty in advance..
