Default Re-curve kit part number needed

Checked my timing today:

initial was 27, total with mech (vaccum disconnected) was 37.

Took the bushing (under the weights) out to see whether there is any difference. Got 17 initial, 27 total

It's a 74 distributor with Crane XRi conversion kit. I am going to play with weights and springs until I get 15 - 18 initial, 36 total.

What kits are out there? Make and part number would be appreciated

You will probably be looking at the 928G. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...32&prmenbr=361
Check your local auto parts store. Mine had most all the GM recurve kits.....Mr.Gasket brand.
I'm mainly curious to know how you like the new Crane XRi system. I currently have the old XR700 set-up and have thought about going to the XRi.
Thanks

Thanks for the link. I was looking at -926G because I need weights as well. But the kit only has one set of springs??

XRi unit is good. Easy to install. Smoother idle.

interesting that they have a pre 69 kit and a 69 and later kit. I have a 68, although I am not sure if my distributor is an actual 68 distributor. I am not sure which kit I got (This isn't very helpful or descriptive, is it? ) My point is, the weights in the kit I got did not fit. I wonder if that is the difference between 68 and 69 ?
