Going through my underhood (78 L-82, THM 350, A/C) and found two puzzlers. These may be obvious for the experiences, but I'm at a loss...
Red wire with connector at end - can't find it's mate. What is it for? It's located on the Driver's side firewall near the distributor. Pic below.
Then on the passenger side, there's this white tube - very small guage, made of a flexible, yet hardish plastic. Originates at the firewall & runs along the finder up to the area of the A/C compressor. Pic of origin below.
The white tube is probably the vacuum line to the heater control valve, mounted on the fender-well. Red wire looks Bubba.
Yes...white tube goes to the water-shut off valve and when A/C is set at "MAX" supposedly shuts off hot water running to the heater core. So..it's a vaccum line.
....wiring diagram shows the pink coming off distributer back to ignition switch..for 75-79 (Chilton)..then there is also a note that says "equiped" and "not equiped"...one by passing radio noise capacitor....
There is another "pink" wire coming off the wiper motor...w/intermittent...
