temp gauge

Well, with yall's help I found the sending unit and it's connected with around 9 volts going to it with the switch on. Is this reading right and if so, does that mean it's a bad sending unit at the block?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

To test touch the sensor wire to ground for a moment. W/ power to gauge, if the gauge & sender wire are good, it will head to full scale. If so, then replace sender.
